Every room in our residence halls is equipped with high-speed wireless Internet access. We have 2 wireless networks:

  1. ccsu-bluenet is the wireless network for your computer, Chromebook, and mobile devices (phones, tablets); no need to register these devices.
  2. ccsu-public is the wireless network for your gaming devices (Xbox, Playstation, etc.) and streaming devices (SmartTV, AppleTV, FireTV, etc.) after they have been registered.

Wired network/Internet access is available upon request.

Cable TV and streaming services such as Apogee, Max, and Showtime Anytime are also available to resident students during the fall and spring semesters.

Wired Network/Internet Access

If you would like to use the wired network/Internet in your room, you may request to have the network drop activated. You will need to provide your own ethernet/network cable. Once the network drop is activated, you will need to register your device via https://mydevices.ccsu.edu. To request to have the network drop activated:

  1. Navigate to https://itrequests.ccsu.edu
  2. Login with your CCSU email address and password.
  3. Select the Network Data Drop Activation Request form.
  4. Complete the form; click Review & Submit; confirm the information and click Submit.

You will receive an email when the network drop activation is complete. You must then register your device:

  1. Log in to https://mydevices.ccsu.edu with your CCSU Office 365 email address (@my.ccsu.edu) and password.
  2. Click on the Add button and complete the device information, then click on Submit. Repeat this for each device you wish to register.

Please note: after registration any wired devices may need to be unplugged for about 30 seconds and then plugged back into the network in order gain connectivity.

Streaming Services

HBO Max and Showtime Anytime are available to all resident students while living on campus (while connected to the campus network). Download the app to your mobile/streaming device (or access via the internet) and sign in with your CCSU email address and password. If prompted for your cable provider, select CCSU or Apogee.
