Wireless Network (WiFi)

Article ID: 178
Last updated: 26 Jul, 2023

The wireless network allows access to the Internet, e-mail, and other web-based services from mobile devices without the constraint of a physical wire. There are wireless access areas in most buildings, residence halls, and outdoor areas around campus. In order to use the wireless network, the wireless network card must be configured with the SSID (or network name). The SSIDs (ccsu-bluenet and ccsu-public) are broadcast continuously by each access point on campus so the wireless network card should detect them automatically. Any mobile computing device (i.e. laptops, Chromebooks, smartphones, and tablets) with integrated wireless networking capabilities should be able to connect to the wireless network.

How to Access:

Computers and mobile devices:

All faculty, staff, and students with a BlueNet account will use the ccsu-bluenet wireless network on computers and mobile devices.
