Campus Telephone and Voice mail Services

Campus telephone and voice mail services are provided to all full-time faculty and administrative staff upon request. Various types of telephone sets are provided based on the functional requirements of a position. 

How to Access:

All full-time faculty and staff are provided with a telephone set and assigned a phone number upon request. The phone number begins with 860-832. To dial on campus numbers, use the last 5-digits of the phone number (for example, dial x2-1720 for the Help Desk). To dial off campus numbers, press 9 first then the full phone number.

To access the voice mail system and the system tutorial, use one of these methods:

  • press the voice mail button on your phone
  • dial x2-2222 from on campus
  • dial 860-832-2222 from off campus

How to Request:

New telephone service or changes to existing service, may be requested using one of the online forms below.

  1. Navigate to https://itrequests.ccsu.edu
  2. Login with your CCSU email address and password.
  3. Search for the appropriate request form:
    1. Install Data Drop (New Wiring)

    2. New Telephone Service

    3. Change Existing Telephone Service

    4. Disconnect Telephone Service

    5. Add/Remove Telephone Pickup Group

    6. Adjunct Faculty Voicemail

  4. Complete the form; click Review & Submit; confirm the information and click Submit.
