Remote Application Server (Citrix)

The remote application server (Citrix) allows you to access Windows-based applications from any computer (PC or Mac) with an Internet connection. You can access software programs stored on the remote application server without the hassle or expense of installing them on your home computer.

How to Access:

  1. Open your browser and navigate to https://apps.ccsu.edu
  2. Click on the Continue button.
  3. At the Office 365 Sign in screen, enter your CCSU email address and password, then authenticate using Microsoft MFA.

How to Request:

All faculty, staff, and students are granted access to Public Applications  Academic Applications  and Desktops.

Available Applications:

  • Academic Applications: IBM Modeler, Color Think Pro, Maple 2018, PC-ORD
  • Administrative Applications: Data Privilege, ERPortal, FileMaker, EMSCloud
  • Public Applications: Chrome, Adobe Acrobat DC, SendFax

Specialty academic applications such as SPSS, MatLab, Minitab are available in the virtual desktop application (VDA) environment:

There are currently four VDA environments available for Windows software: "Computer Science", "General Lab", "Engineering, Science, Technology", and "Geography Lab".  School of Business software is available from the General Lab. Click here to get instructions for accessing the Windows Desktop environments through the Citrix Remote Application Server (https://apps.ccsu.edu) using a Mac or Windows PC. 

To access Apple/Mac applications remotely, you will need to install and configure the Splashtop software
