Blackboard (Bb) is a CCSU's learning management system.  Blackboard provides an integrated set of tools for developing interactive web-based course materials. The system can be used to teach classes entirely online or to augment traditional face-to-face/on-ground classes. Faculty can post course materials, engage students in discussions, post course grades, give tests and quizzes, and more. Students can engage in online discussions with other students, take quizzes and tests online, and access course materials and grades.

CCSU is currently transitioning to the newer, more modern version of Blackboard, Ultra.  Therefore, students and faculty may experience two different type of course shell interfaces, Blackboard Original and the new Ultra.

Course Shells - Blackboard course shells are automatically created before the start of every semester. Faculty and students are automatically given access to their courses in Blackboard.
